Step 1: Cook the Bacon
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Leave the bacon fat in the pan and remove it, and set it aside.

Step 2: Add Onion and Garlic
- Sauté chopped onion in the bacon fat until soft. Cook for 30 seconds after adding the minced garlic.

Step 3: Cook the Green Beans
- Add the fresh green beans to the skillet and stir well to coat them in the flavors.

Step 4: Add Broth and Seasonings
- Pour in chicken broth, then add brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cover and cook 10–15 minutes until tender.

Step 5: Finish and Serve
- Stir in the cooked bacon, simmer 2 more minutes, then serve warm with your favorite BBQ dishes.
